VIDEO GAME ANALYSIS
Game I played
TellTale: The Walking Dead
Lee Everett wants to survive, and keep Clementine a young girl who lost her parents alive as well.
Lee is willing to kill those who try to harm him or his group in order to achieve his goals. He will go to as many different cities and communities to find a safe space for himself and the young girl.
There are not necessarily any rules to the game. It is based on a Choose Your Own Adventure model and tells this story through the choices you make. This game is available on consoles as well as PCs so the controls vary. There are different chapters that cover certain portions of the story. In chapter 1 we meet Lee and then Clem. In chapter 2 we meet the rest of the group in the story, and then the story grows and continues as they enter further into the apocalypse. Players progress by defeating (killing) each chapters "Big Bad" or by finding the new location. Enemies attack in a variety of ways depending on if they are Walkers (will chase, bite, scratch, etc.) or humans (they will attack with weapons).
The characters make this story engaging. You grow to fall in love with most of the main characters and begin to hate the other characters. This was part of the game I enjoyed the most. Getting to know the characters.
A difficult part of this game was getting past some of the puzzles that are in the game. I really do not think that this game could be more engaging. It already is very interesting and addicting.
